Hey everyone. I hope your breaks have been going well so far.
I wanted to introduce you all to a really cool website I found a while back called Radical Cartography. It features a whole bunch of maps in any topic you can think of, and a lot of them are really great references for any future information design we may do. My favorite are the income donuts (Projects, Scale Comparisons, Income Donuts) where I can see every place in the top 25 metro areas that I can't afford to live in.
Another favorite of mine is the set of images from the 1870 US Census. You can download the whole set at 300 dpi. (Yummy, Six Atlases, The Ninth Census) Forget information design, I want some of the images as art prints!
