
As most of you have probably done by now, Bridget and I met with our company for the Mass Software Council project, and one of them mentioned this website called crowdSPRING. It's basically a site where companies and designers sign up, then companies put out a bid for what they need (logo, website, flash demo, etc.), and designers come to the call, and if their work gets chosen, they get the job, and the sweet monies.
It looks like the community is pretty lively and it would be a good motivator if you're looking to add more things to your portfolio, but want to actually design for a real client. You're able to upload your portfolio, and it generally looks like a great way to keep the creative juices flowing, look at what other people come up with, and maybe even make some cash on the side.
